The Care Plus Ganges Caps are made from a closely woven fabric that was developed to have an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) of 40+. The fabric is made from a blend of 70% nylon / 30% cotton that is water resistant and both tick and mosquito proof - a very welcome bonus at times!

The Care Plus Ganges Caps have a broad central flap to cover your neck and two seperate but over-lapping flaps to cover your ears - a very clever arrangement that combines maximum protection with maximum comfort and ventilation. The flaps can also be unzipped and removed when more moderate conditions mean they are no longer required.

The Care Plus Ganges Caps are a Desert Khaki colour and are available in a single size quoted as Large/Extra Large (61cm - UK Size 7 1/2).

The Care Plus Legionnaire Style Hat has a stiff baseball cap brim at the front, a broad central flap at the back to cover your neck and two separate but over-lapping flaps at the sides to cover your ears - a very clever arrangement that combines maximum protection with maximum comfort and ventilation.

The hat is made from a high tech Caretex fabric that is a blend of 70% cotton to give it a natural feel and 30% nylon for durability and to wick away moisture. The tightly woven fabric also means that it is mosquito proof without the need for treatment with insecticide.

The Care Plus Legionnaire Style Hat is fitted with an elasticated cord and toggle at the back for size adjustment which means that one size fits all. It is also available in a range of different colours.

SolarDry Desert Hat UPF 40+

The SolarDry Desert Hat from Craghoppers is a Legionnaire style hat with a flap at the back, a stiff baseball cap brim at the front and cooling vents at the side. The flap can be rolled up and secured neatly inside a pocket at the back when not required and there is an elasticated cord and toggle at the back for size adjustment.

The hat is made from a natural-feel Polyamide fabric and it is fully lined with a soft Polyester material that is designed to constantly move moisture away from the skin, thereby allowing it to evaporate naturally, keeping you cool and dry. The fabric used has also been impregnated with insecticide using the NosiLife system to give it insect repellent properties that will last a lifetime of wear.

The SolarDry Desert Hat has an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) of 40+ and hence provides very effective protection from the sun. The UPF rating quantifies the level of protection a garment gives against harmful UVa and UVb radiation. A garment rated as UPF 40+ will block over 97.5% of the UV radiation and this is the highest rating awarded under the European standard.
