Sea Bands - Adult Wrist Bands

The Sea Band is a knitted elasticated wrist band, and it works by applying gentle pressure to the Nei-Kuan acupressure point on the wrist via a small plastic stud. This is known to relieve or even prevent feelings of nausea, without the risk of any of the side effects associated with anti-nausea drugs.

The Sea Band was developed originally for dealing with Sea Sickness (and hence the name), but it has also been shown to be effective for relieving Morning Sickness and nausea. It is particularly useful in this regard as many women are understandably wary of taking medication to help combat Morning Sickness.

Instructions for use are supplied with the Sea Bands, and they can be worn either as a preventative measure or at any time when nausea threatens to strike.

Sea Bands can also be used in combination with other measures, such as Queasy Drops or the Nevasic (MorningWell) audio programme, and this can help to increase the overall effectiveness significantly.

Sea Bands are supplied in pairs - one for each wrist.

Acupressure Relief Bands

The Acupressure Relief Bands from Design Go are similar to the better known Sea Bands and work in the same way. The key point of difference though is that they are adjustable whereas the Sea Bands are not. This makes them a bit more fiddly to put on and use, but it also means they can easily accomodate wrists both large and small. They can also be tightened or loosened to vary the acupressure as and when required.

The Acupressure Relief Bands are made from nylon with a plastic stud in the middle for applying the acupressure. They have a plastic buckle at one end and the strap is secured by velcro.

Suitable for adults and children from the age of 3 and supplied in pairs - one for each wrist.

Acupressure Relief Bands
Relief Band for Morning Sickness & Nausea

The Relief Band is a drug free way to control the debilitating symptoms of Morning Sickness, and it can also help with the nausea experienced during Chemotherapy.

The Relief Band is worn like a watch on the underside of the wrist, and it is comfortable and discrete. It operates by emiting low-level electrical pulses from two small electrodes which are in electrical contact with the wrist via the application of a small amount of conductivity gel.

The signals produced act via the acupressure point in the wrist to reduce or eliminate the feeling of nausea. It doesn't act on the cause of the nausea, only on the symptom itself which is why it can be used quite safely in most circumstances without any risk of side effects. The Relief Band can be set at 5 different power levels to ensure the right level of stimulation is applied, and when it is set correctly a light tingling sensation is felt in the palm of the hand and in one or both of the two middle fingers.

The Relief Band has an adjustable strap and buckle and replaceable batteries. It is also water resistant and has a sealed membrane touch pad control.

The Relief Band is supplied with a set of batteries and a tube of conductivity gel.

The batteries supplied with the Relief Band should be good for 150 hours or more, depending on the power level used. However, for longer trips or for peace of mind it may be worth having a spare set of batteries handy.

The i-Trans is similar to the better known Relief Band but there are several differences - first and foremost perhaps is that it retails at less than half the price!

It is also equipped with several additional features - it has a 'Contact Light' to indicate when good electrical contact has been made with the skin, and it has an adjustable massaging action that targets specific acupressure points on your inner wrist, in addition to the electrical stimulation.
