Jam jars store jam - Sun Jars store sunshine! They are made by combining a traditional glass Mason jar with a high tech energy efficient lighting system - a low energy LED lamp, a rechargeable battery, a solar cell to do the charging, and a photo-sensitive switch to turn it on when the sun sets - all concealed within the Sun Jar!

If the Sun Jar is placed in the light it will charge up during the day as it captures the sunshine, and then glow during the night as it releases the energy stored. The light it produces is diffused by the frosted jar to give a warm, sun-shiney glow - ideal for use as a night light and for helping to create a warm, summery mood....

The Sun Jars are completely water-tight, so they can be left outside quite happily in all conditions. They are fully automatic - with a bulit-in light sensor to control when they switch on and off - but they are also equipped with a manual over-ride.
