Trix Tick Lasso - Tick Remover

Ticks are spider-like insects that attach themselves with their mouth parts to the skin of a host and then feed themselves with its blood. Not very pleasant, and finding them firmly attached to you can be quite upsetting, particularly if you're not quite sure how to deal with them! They have become increasingly common in Northern Europe, and to make matters even worse a tick bite could lead to infection with Lyme's disease if the tick isn't carefully removed within 24 hours.

Care Plus Tick Out - Tick Tweezers

The Care Plus Tick Out Tick Tweezers are similar to the Trix Tick Lasso, although the tick is removed in a slightly different way. Instead of a lasso the Tick Out Tick Tweezers utilise a set of pincers.

The pincer jaws are opened by pressing a button on the end of the device, and then closed by releasing the button after placing the base of the tick within the mouth of the jaws. The jaws are shaped to grip the tick tightly, allowing it to be removed with minimal risk of damage to the tick.

The Care Plus Tick Out Tick Tweezers are supplied with full instructions for use and two alcohol swabs for disinfecting the site of the bite after the tick has been removed.

O'Tom Tick Twister

The O'Tom Tick Twister is a quick and easy way to remove ticks from both people and animals, regardless of their size or location.

To use, simply slide the O'Tom Tick Twister hook between the tick and the skin and twist it round and round until the tick comes off. It's this twisting action that is the key to the successful removal of the tick - if you just pull it off the mouth parts dig in, but if you twist it they 'go with the flow' and spiral out.
