Travel Hygiene and Laundry

One of the most important things you can do to maintain good health when travelling or out and about is to wash your hands regularly and well. That's often easier said than done though if there isn't any soap - and sometimes there isn't even any water! Hence it's best to go prepared, and something that doesn't require any added water can prove to be invaluable.

No-Rinse Waterless washing products were originally developed for the NASA space program - but fortunately now they're available for all - and you don't even have to fly to the moon to use them!

Shampoo, conditioner and body wash - you can stay clean and freshen up at anytime wherever you are - with or without water.

Fresh water isn't always available, and even if it is it may be expensive or in short supply. Sometimes the answer might be all around you - sea water! It can still be a problem though as regular soap or shampoo can struggle to work up a lather, but read on for a solution....

Laundry can be a bit of pain when at home, and can become quite a problem when travelling as facilities can be few and far between and/or expensive - particularly so if travelling off the beaten track. Consequently, we've collected a few items to help make things a little bit easier.

A Solar Shower could be just what you need when you get back to camp after a long day walking or trekking. Simply fill it with water, leave it out in the sun for a few hours to heat up and then suspend it somewhere when you're ready to shower.

Also great for when you're sailing somewhere warm - it helps to conserve water and it's heated up for free - 2 things every true sailor likes!
