Nevasic (MorningWell)

What is Nevasic?

Nevasic is an audio programme on a CD that was devised to help reduce nausea and vomiting during Travel Sickness, Morning Sickness and Chemotherapy.

How does Nevasic work?

The Nevasic audio programme contains specific tones, frequencies and pulses concealed beneath an overlayer of music. This unique combination of sounds disrupts the signals sent between the inner ear and the brain that tend to cause nausea and vomiting.

Is it safe?

Nevasic is 100% drug free and hence doesn't interact with the body's biochemistry or any other treatment or medication. However, if in doubt, medical advice should be obtained.

How do I use it?

The Nevasic audio programme should be listened to via headphones. It isn't necessary to lie down, so you can use the programme whilst up and about and continuing to do what you want to do. It should be listened to at low volume so that you can still talk and communicate easily whilst listening to the programme. The programme should be listened to all the way through, which takes about 30 minutes, unless the symptoms stop before this. It can then be repeated if the symptoms threaten to return again.

Has it been tried and tested scientifically?

Nevasic was evaluated by the MRC Spatial Disorientation Group at the Imperial College School of Medicine in London and found to delay the onset of Motion Sickness in their simulator. It was also studied by the Winchester and Eastleigh NHS Trust over a period of 18 months and was found to have reduced or eliminated symptoms of Morning Sickness in over 90% of instances.

What is the difference between Nevasic and MorningWell?

Nevasic and MorningWell are both manufactured by the same company - Daval Ltd. The only difference is the packaging, where MorningWell is thought to be a better name than Nevasic for catching the eye of mothers-to-be!
