Description

This is it – the most recognizable sun hat on the planet! The Sunday Afternoons Unisex Adventure Hat may not make it on a Parisian runway, but you’ve seen this original hat on adventurers everywhere who know how to have a good time in the elements without losing their cool. Every inch of this hat is engineered for functional sun protection: smart fabrics, customisable sizing, patented details, and a sun-conscious design.

Wherever your adventures take you – trekking, running rapids, or a date with some salted caramel ice cream on a sunny patio – the Adventure Hat has you covered.

UPF 50 – This is the highest rating available and it means it blocks at least 98% of the UV radiation.  Less than 1/50th of the UV rays are able to pass through, allowing you to diminish the sun, not the fun!
Fabric – 100% Nylon. Crown Mesh: 100% Polyester.
Ventilation– Mesh panels each side of the crown for keeping your head cool.
Features – Includes a wicking sweatband, a chinstrap with cord lock and an external sizing band for custom fit.
Water and Stain Resistant – Hat that floats in water!
Protection – This hat has a 10 cm (4.5 inch) down-sloping front brim, 9 cm (3.5 inch) sides with floatable foam core and poly brim wire. It also has a 19 cm (7.5 inch) back veil neck flap which can be tucked into the crown when not required.
Packing Instructions – Packs flat for travel. Do not fold or crease the brim.
Lightweight – 85g.

Measuring – circle the crown of the head with string or dental floss, above the eyebrows and ears. Measure the length of string on a ruler and compare to the size ranges listed in the hat description, then there’s your size! Many, but not all, of the hats feature an adjustable sizing system.

When you receive your hat, loosen or tighten the adjustable sizing system as necessary for your custom fit. Wearing the hat slightly above eyebrows and ears will allow clear front and peripheral vision.

Next Day Signed For (orders placed on Monday to Friday for Next Day Delivery)

(order before 2.30 pm Monday to Friday) – £7.95 for a parcel up to 1 kilogram in weight – more for heavier parcels.  Delivery time – typically next working day after posting – but it is advisable to contact us first to confirm the items are in stock and can be dispatched in good time.  Generally though the goods are in stock unless they are labelled as ‘Out of Stock’.  Parcels are usually sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery or DHL and in both cases somebody needs to be there to sign for the parcel.  If this is likely to be a problem please let us know.

Europe (with tracking) Royal Mail (excluding Courier)

£10.95 for the first item, plus £1.00 extra for each additional item.  Delivery time – typically 2 or 3 weeks because of delays when going through customs.

Rest of the World (with tracking) Royal Mail (excluding Courier)

£11.95 for the first item, plus £3.00 extra for each additional item.  Delivery time – typically 2 or 3 weeks because of delays when going through customs.

With our Tracked Airmail service you may be required to pay import taxes or customs calculated by your local customs authority. This is usually calculated on the weight and value of the parcel and not something we can estimate cost for you.
