A sturdy straw hat in a classy, stylish profile, the Sunday Afternoons Islander Hat is made in Mexico from 100% natural tripilla straw. With the UPF 50+ sun rating you expect and an elasticated sweatband, this classic hat provides ample shade and a custom fit whether you’re walking the beach or out on the town.
UPF 50 – This is the highest rating available and it means it blocks at least 98% of the UV radiation. Less than 1/50th of the UV rays are able to pass through, allowing you to diminish the sun, not the fun!

Measuring – circle the crown of the head with string or dental floss, above the eyebrows and ears. Measure the length of string on a ruler and compare to the size ranges listed in the hat description, then there’s your size! Many, but not all, of the hats feature an adjustable sizing system.
When you receive your hat, loosen or tighten the adjustable sizing system as necessary for your custom fit. Wearing the hat slightly above eyebrows and ears will allow clear front and peripheral vision.

Generally though the goods are in stock unless they are labelled as ‘Out of Stock’. Parcels are usually sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery or DHL and in both cases somebody needs to be there to sign for the parcel. If this is likely to be a problem please let us know.
