Citronella CandlesCitronella has been used in candles for many years and whilst it should never be relied on in high risk areas it can be quite helpful in some situations. It seems to be particularly effective against midges and mosquitoes and some of the candles can be used both inside and out. Mosquito Coils can be used in a similar way, and they are particularly good for use when camping.

Highlander Citronella Long Life Candles - Twin Pack

The Highlander Citronella Longlife Candles are ideal for keeping midges and mosquitoes at bay, both indoors and out. Each candle burns for approximately 4.5 hours and they are supplied in a tin with a lid to keep the citronella fragrance fresh.

Amazon Lights Garden Incense Cones

The Amazon Lights Garden Incense Cones are made from bamboo and an aromatic blend of Citronella, Rosemary, Thyme and Andiroba Oil. The Andiroba Oil comes from a sustainable source in the Brazilian jungle and it is this ingredient that makes this product different from any other garden incense. Incognito Organic Java Citronella Oil is ideal for use in oil diffusers or burners as an aid to dispersing insects. It can also be applied to your skin, although it should be diluted by at least 1 in 6 and patch tested for sensitivity beforehand. It is particularly useful for adding to shampoo or conditioner to discourage insects from getting in amongst your hair, and adding a few drops to your clothes or luggage will help it stay fresh whilst also keeping the insects away.

Ingredients: Organic Cymbopogon Winterianus (Organic Java Citronella)

In aromatherapy Citronella Oil is said to possess activating and warming qualities, both physically and mentally. When diluted in a base oil (such as Almond Oil) and applied to the skin, Citronella Oil produces a mild sensation of warmth which helps to relieve painful muscles and joints. Mosquito Coils

Mosquito Coils are great for keeping both midges and mosquitoes away. They are intended primarily for outdoor use because the particulates in the smoke they create can prove harmful over time. The active ingredient in this product is 3% Dimefluthrin - a member of the Pyrethum group of insect repellents that are derived from the Chrysanthemum plant.

Supplied in a packet of 10 Mosquito Coils with 2 metal holders.

Typically, each Mosquito Coil will burn for about 6 to 8 hours.
